Are Your Cabinets Secure?

Strengthen Cabinets to Secure Valuables

Commercial businesses such as offices and retail stores contain valuables. This much is known by just about everyone, including criminals. Criminals understand that, if they break into a property, they are likely to find at least some items that are high in value and also easy to carry off. This includes items such as jewelry, watches, cameras, mobile phones, tablets, laptops and many other valuables. These items are frequently the target of criminals.

It’s easy to see why. Smaller items can still possess great value and they’re significant easier to carry from a property, transport from the scene and resell for profit.

So how can you protect yourself? One way is to install inner cabinet security doors on your cabinets. Inner cabinet security doors are metal doors that are installed inside cabinets, behind the regular doors. They make it significantly more difficult for criminals to break into the cabinet and steal the smaller valuables that they often target.

Cabinets are convenient places to store a variety of items. They’re easily-accessible and located in just about every property. However, they’re also incredibly easy to break into. Even locked cabinets can be broken into with ease. The doors are frequently smashed by criminals who can then access everything inside. Plus, the locks and hinges on most cabinets can very easily tampered with and damaged in order to gain access. This makes cabinets frequent targets for criminals. They know that people will likely store small valuable such as tablets and cameras in cabinets and they also know how easy it is to break into them.

Inner Cabinet Security Doors for Retail Security

Retail stores in particular store a lot of merchandise inside cabinets. That’s where you’ll often find mobile phones, tablets, computers and cameras in just about any electronics store. These items are not often stored in safes or locked rooms since store employees need to access them frequently. While traditional cabinets are easy to access for staff, they’re also often easy to access for criminals.inner cabinet security doors

Inner cabinet security doors add another layer of security. They protect merchandise from “smash and grab” robberies. By creating a strong barrier between the criminal and the valuables, inner cabinet security doors protect the items stored inside. Plus, the locks on these cabinets are significantly stronger than standard cabinet door locks, which makes tampering with them much more difficult.

Inner cabinet security door panels are installed inside a cabinet. Both solid and open mesh designs are available. They’re easy to use, so you won’t have to deal with a complicated process in order to secure your valuables. All you need to do is lock the inner cabinet security doors when the cabinet is closed. This simple step can protect the merchandise in your store and keep you from losing large amounts of valuable inventory in a robbery.

Criminals like easy targets. They want to be able to arrive at a property, break in and steal the items they’re looking for quickly and easily. The more barriers you put in front of them, the more likely that your property will be safe. By locking valuables inside cabinets and securing those cabinets with inner cabinet security, you will greatly decrease the likelihood of losing valuable items in a robbery.
